The League of California Cities remains a co-sponsor of CEPO, in association with the University of California at Santa Barbara. 

For many years, CEPO has been recognized by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) as an accredited institute for the educational component for Certified Municipal Clerk and Master Municipal Clerk certifications for the City Clerks Association of California.

Cal-ICMA and CEPO have partnered to further enhance the Coaching Program of Cal-ICMA.  The Accelerated Leadership Development Series was designed to supplement the organization's Preparing the Next Generation Program.

The California Clerks of the Board of Supervisors Association also recognizes CEPO as an accredited partner for their Certified Clerk of the Board program.
