CEPO Inc. Conferences and Sessions
It is no secret that the most precious resource of any organization is its people. Operating within tight budgets and lean operating resources, organizations today are asking more of their employees in terms of responding to challenges and change. Continuing Education for Public Officials, Inc. (CEPO, Inc.) understands that many of today's local government leaders are nearing retirement and that the leaders of tomorrow need to be properly prepared, developed and motivated to step up to the leadership challenge. Through personal capacity building - exploring and enhancing their personal power and leadership strengths and capabilities - these future leaders will be better prepared to take the next step in their professional career.
CEPO, Inc. offers several different leadership training opportunities. CEPO, Inc.'s Leadership session is a three-year program consisting of one-week in-residence sessions for three years. The learning environment created is conducive to adult learning. Course designs focus on experiential learning, and sessions are small with the average course size of 8-12 participants. Trainer to participant ratio is high, allowing for a deep and insightful learning experience.
The Professional Development Series is also offered annually, usually in February. The PDS a series of workshop offerings that develop professional and technical skills as well as soft skills for the leaders of today and tomorrow. Each year there are two or three, three-day sessions running concurrent that offer training and development that is relevant and useful in today's organizations. The Professional Development Series is an opportunity for leaders to add to their leadership toolbox - to continue their personal and organizational capacity building - with other like-minded professionals and leaders. All Professional Development Series sessions are based on adult learning principles and combine various methods of instruction with the experiential learning model for maximum results.
