Since 1973, Continuing Education for Public Officials, Inc. (CEPO) has provided a professional and lively education forum for thousands of city, county and special district public officials. Our mission is to support the public sector by providing ongoing development of current and emerging leaders with the knowledge, skills, aptitudes, and willingness to continuously transform themselves, their organizations and their communities.
What makes CEPO, Inc. sessions unique?
CEPO sessions focus on the culture of community and community building as part of the learning environment. We approach the development of human capacity in a holistic way, focusing on transformation of the mind, body, and spirit. Through experiential learning, we create an environment in which participants can engage in and experience new concepts, theories, skills, and behaviors. Then through a process of reflection, participants gain deep and meaningful insights about themselves and the world in which they live, which creates opportunity for change and transformation...for themselves, their agencies, and their communities.
Our Pledge to You
- Design each conference to meet participants' needs and interests
- Make learning relevant to the world
- Provide as much choice as possible
- Build on present level of learning and skill
- Keep learning groups small
- Use experiential methods for maximum back-home application
- Have fun learning
